Main Artefact (PBL)

Hi guys welcome back to my blog this week I am going to be talking to you about my main PBL projected. So over this term we have been doing PBL and if you have not see my other PBL blog they where about my PBL invite and my sub artefact and now I will be shearing with you my main artefact. So what I did for my main artefact is that I made a good and bad city with Monique and Samantha. And the good city was for what we want the city to look like and the bad city was what we don't what our city to look like. So if you are interested here is what the over all look is.

Sub Artefact for PBL

Hi guys I hope your day is going great. So today I will be talking to you about my sub artefact for PBL. So over this term we have been doing PBL and we had to do something to do with the future and how we can help it and if you have not read my other PBL blogs our PBL question is what will the future ask of us? My PBL Invite

PBL Plan!

Hello every body how are you? Today I am going to be talking to you my PBL plan. So this term we have been doing PBL on the Future and we also got a new PBL question and that is What will the Future ask of Us?  

So then we got to get into groups of 2 or 1 but I went in a 3 because the teachers said I could. the people in my group is Monique and Samantha. We thought that it would be fun to make two city's one bad city and one good city. Now the resin we are doing two is because we will do a bad city that looks bad witch is the city we don't want and then the good city is they city we want. We made the city out of card board and clay and then decorated it to look nice and then not nice.
Now if you want to find out a bit more on my PBL here is a doc that we had to fill out that has more info on it.

Our PBL question is…  How can we help the environment to make a better impact on our future reality?

Our ideas on this topic already are…  Making a city that will look bad like what will happen if we don’t change o ur ways around Global Warming/Climate Change, and we will also make a city that looks nice to show what we want our planet to look like when we stop Global Warming/Climate Change.

Research (with links) to current research... Global warming is a slow and steady rise in Earth's surface temperature. Temperatures today are 0.74 °C higher than 150 years ago. Many scientists say that in the next 100–200 years, temperatures might be up to 6 °C higher than they were before the effects of global warming were discovered. Global warming is projected to have a number of effects on the oceans. Ongoing effects include rising sea levels due to thermal expansion and melting of glaciers and ice sheets, and warming of the ocean surface, leading to increased temperature stratification.

A prototype of my design looks like… Two city’s one that looks bad and destroyed because of global warming, and another city that looks nice, good and bright to show that we are taking care and looking after the planet.

R.E. Advertisement

Hi guys welcome back to my blog this week I am going to be talking to you about my R.E. advertisement. So over the last few weeks I have been doing a R.E. advertisement and with the R.E. advertisement we got to go in groups of 3 or less I choose to go with 2 people and they are Tamera & Samantha. So there where two things you could do for it and they where a video, a play, a poster I did a video/play they where also topics that you had to choose from I did anointing of the sick but you could do others. Scientific Method (Making Crystal)

Hi guys welcome back to my blog this we I am going to be talking to you about Scientific Method. So over the last few weeks I have been doing science. For science we where allowed to get into groups of two our you could go by your self. I choose to go with a person and that person was Tamera. We thought that making crystals out of candy would be fun so that is what we did. So we found a recipe that we thought would be good and we make it. After we made it we left it for a few weeks but nothing happened. But then we found out that the crystals started to work at the moment they are still growing.

So last week me and a few other people went into town and got to paint fence because some of them had spray paint on it and where looking like they needed some love so we went to clean ad paint them. So then we went at the start of the day and got back to school and 12:00 and we got to where old clothes to school.

Future Narrative Writing

Future Narrative Writing

Hi guys welcome back to my blog this week I am going to be talking to you about my future narrative writing. So over the last few weeks we have been writing a story and the story has to be about the future or what the future is going to look like here is my story if you are interested on reading it.

Story

“ Mum I need a bigger suitcase,” yelled Anna

 “ No you don’t Anna your suitcase is nearly bigger than you,” Anna’s mum replied 

“ But I can’t fit my new high heels in the suitcase,” said Anna 

“ Well you are just going to have to deal with it,” as Anna’s mum vise go higher  

“Ahhh” mumbled Anna 

“ Dad I need  a smaller suitcase can I swap with you,” said Tom 

“ Yeah shore,” Tom’s dad yells for down the hallway

“ Thanks,” Tom said from the other end of the hallway

“ Right kids we have 5 mins till we should all be in the car because we need to be at the airport 2 hours before we get on the plane because we still need to check in and knowing Anna she is going to talk a long time rolling her big suitcase,” said Tom & Anna’s mum

 “ Now I know that I take a long time but that is just full on rude!” cried Anna 

“ Laddy’s it’s been 5 mins so please get in the car and tom you also need to get in the car otherwise you will be staying at the house,” said the kids dad 

“ Okay,” said mum & kids (30 mins later have arrived at the airport) 

“ MUM can you PLEASE take my suitcase it is sooooo heavy” mumbiled Anna 

“ No you need to take your own suitcase and next time maybe you should talk a smaller suitcase and beside we are nearly at the lounge ” said Anna’s mum 

“ Oh that’s good I am so hungry I could eat double cheese burger,” said Tom 

“You are always hungry Tom,” said Tom’s dad 

“ Right kids we have 15 mins till we need to get onto the plane so if you need to go to the bathroom or get food now is the right time to do so.” said the kids mum 

“ Okay” said Tom and Anna 

( Can the people going on the flit going to Rio De Janeiro please come to stand to hand in you tickets and climb aboard) 

“ Well guys that's us so get your stuff and follow me,” said the kids dad 

“ Hello can I please see your ticket?” said the captain of the plan 

“ Yes you can kids can I have your ticket so I can give it to the man?” said dad “ yes you can dad here you go!” said Tom & Anna

 “ Thank you kids and here you go kind man” said the dad 

“ Thank you now if you just go straight down there your plane will be waiting for you,” said the captain of the plane.

So the kids and the parents walk, Okay that was a lie they ran well that is another lie the kids ran up ahead and the parents walked. When the parents and the kids got to the entrance of the plane they gave their tickets to the flight attends and they told them that their seat was on B1, 2, 3 and A4 they went to sit down and then after a while the plane took off. It Was about 20 hours and 20 mins till they 

Had landed when they had walked out the plane got there luggage and looked around for their grandpa and there he was with his big cheese smile so they ran up to him and said.

“ Hi grandpa how are you?” said Tom & Anna 

“ I am great and how are you?” said there grandpa

“ We are amazing and this place is so hot!” said Tom & Anna

“ That’s good and you will have to get used to it being hot but we better get on the road because your grandma is at home by herself and she is still very sick and we are not meant to leave her at home,” said grandpa

“Okay” said the kids and the mum and dad

“ So dad how are you feeling about mum and when is she going to get better?” said the kids mum

“ Well the doctor said maybe 2 mouths from now” said grandpa

“ Okay, let's go and see her” said the kids mum

So the kids and the kids mum and dad hopped in the car and drove into the city. The kids loved looking at all the shops through the window of the car but I think Anna wanted to go into the shops but you know what dad said no later Anna we need to go see your grandma. A few mins after that they got to the house.

“ OMG mum the house is at the beach and there is a snorkelling place right there,” said Anna

“ And there is an aquarium on the other side,” said Tom

“ Yes I know” said the kids dad

“ How do you know?” said Tom and Anna

“ You do know that this is where I grow up right,” Said that mum

“ Yes I new that!” said Anna

“So Tom this is where you will be staying and this is where you will be staying Anna they is a bathroom in each room and a sliding door going out side the room and the asked same just for you two,” said the grandpa

“ Okay kids go unpack and you can go and explore the city but take your phones and money and you have to be home by 11 O’clock,” said the mum

“ Fine by me,” said Anna

“ Okay,” said Tom

“Oh and one more thing don’t go in the water,” said the dad

“ Okay but why?” said Tom and Anna at the same time

“ Um, well the water here is very polluted here and there is certain place that you can go to swim.” told the kids

“ Okay then,” as the kids sigh

But Anna really badly wanted to go swimming but she had to listen to her grandpa because she knows that he knows what’s best. So Anna went shopping and Tom went to build a sand castle at the beach because he is allowed to make a sand castle even though he is like 16 years old. So Anna and Tom went there on way.

“ This sandcastle is so big now I think I should go find Anna and then maybe we can go to the aquarium for a little bit and maybe we can find about more of the sea,”

So Tom went into the city a bit more and fond Anna in the most expensive shop in the city but somehow Tom found a way to get her back to the beach.

“ Tom why did you bring me to the beach? Is it to show me because if it is I am going to be so annoyed?!” yelled Anna

“ Anna I bring you back to the beach so we could maybe go to the 

aquarium?” Tom asked

“ Okay find,” said Anna

So Tom and Anna went to the aquarium. There were fish and sharks and other sea creatures in the building but one room in the aquarium cort Anna and Tom’s eyes they both went straight into the room and do you know that the room had in it? There where people telling other people about the pollution in the water and how lots of sea creatures that have died because of the pollution in the water.

“ Tom lots of animals are dying because of the pollution in the water and I know that I don’t seem like the type of girl that love, love, love’s animals but we have to do something about it!” Anna said

“ Good idea I think that the pollution could kill all animals that live in the water and that would be soooooo bad because I love the sea and without the animals there is basikal no beach!” cried Tom

So Tom and Anna stayed listening in on what they could do to help the sea and do you know what they found? They found out that they can go snorkeling and catch the hurt animals and bring them back to the aquarium where they can help them get better. They also found out that there are bouts that you can take to see dolphins and help them if they are sick. There was a signup sheet right in the room that they can put their names down to do all those things so that the animals can be safe so they signed up for it but they also signed there grandpa up so he could do it to. The next day Anna and Tom oh and grandpa where in the togs with all the stuff they would need for the day because they were doing snorkeling first and then tomorrow they are going on a bout to see dolphins. 

“ You two are so good doing this for the animals in the sea and thank you for signing me up to I think it is going to be so much fun,” said there grandpa

After a few mins the bout came to pick them all up and took them to the reef and if you don’t know what a reef looks like it is sooooo pretty. 

“ This place is so beautiful” cried Anna

“ Dad there is a turtle over here with plastic I think it needs our 

help” yelled Tom  

“ Okay go get it but be very careful and put it into the bucket that is in the bout,” said Tom & Anna’s grandpa

After a few hours had passed and all of the animals were back to their old self with no plastic on them. But the turtle was very sick and sore.

So they go back on the bout and went to the aquarium to help the turtle the doctor said that we were lucky that we found him or he would have died they took all the plastic of him then they gave him medium to help the pane they said he would have to stay here for a while until he gets better. So they went home and then had dinner and then went to bed. The next day they did the same thing so they do it for Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday they when dolphin looking to see them sick & to help them . So in the morning the three got ready just like every other day and they waited for the bout to come. Today they are going on a bout to see if any dolphins are sick or hurt. Finally the bout came and picked them up.

“ Grandpa this bout is way bigger than  the other days and there is more iniquity,” said Tom

“ That is because they need a big bout to take dolphins in it,” said grandpa

“ Okay, that is cool,” said Tom & Anna

Then the bout took off and a few mins later they had arrived and there was rubbish everywhere. Plus a lot of dolphins. 

“ There is so much rubbish and hurt dolphins can we go help then NOW ?” 

said Anna

“ Yes we can,” said grandpa

So Anna, Tom & there grandpa jumped into the sea and sore that so much dolphins were covered in rubbish and so was the water they all picked up rubbish from the water then they help the dolphins get out of the rubbish after that the dolphins left except for one.

There was a helpless little dolphin that was really badly hurt.

“ Grandpa we need to take this dolphin back to the aquarium to see what we can do to help it,” said Tom 

“ Okay let’s go,” said there grandpa

SO they took the dolphin back to the aquarium and did some tests on it and when they where doing that Anna & Tom wanted to find a way to get rid of all the rubbish in the sea so they told there grandpa what he thinks they could do. There grandpa said a lot of things but then he said they could make a machine that is like a metal detector but instead of it being a metal detector it is a rubbish detector and they loved the idea so they stayed up all night and morning researching on what they would need and then they got there grandpa to by all the things they will need. After a few days they had made the machine and they tested it and it worked then they hopped on the bout with the machine and went out to the middle of the sea and got ready to press the start button 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Anna press the start button and it work they were all so happy rubbish started to rise from the water and was sticking to the machine.

“ I working it really is working!” said the kids grandpa

“ It did, but what are we going to do with the rubbish on the machine?!” said Tom

“ Maybe we could turn it into dirt and then make a garden,” said Anna

“ Okay let's go home and turn the rubbish into dirt,” said the grandpa

So they went home torn the rubbish into dirt. They made a garden and then went to the aquarium to see the dolphin the doctors said that he will be let go in a mouth. After a few weeks it was time for Anna & Tom and  there parents to go home so they packed their bags and went to the airport. Then they hopped on the plane and went to Christchurch.

Winter Sport

Hi guys welcome back to my blog this week I am going to be talking to you about winter sport. So we have just finished winter sport for this year and if you have not seen my other blogs on winter sport here is a catch up. So you can play 4 sport they are Netball, Soccer, Rugby and hockey I played netball. I was in the netball c team called the scorpions. We played really good over the 2 terms we played we lost games we tied games and we won games. And with all of that we came 3rd over all. I was pretty happy with what we came.
